Weird Things Contest

Jenny over at the MamaDrama blog that I frequent, has put out a challenge to show her the weirdest thing that you have. My entry for this contest seems to freak out everyone but me. Jenny seems to have an eye for the macabre, so I think she will like my "evil possessed doll" also. This doll was given to me MANY years ago by my grandmother, and I have never seen another one like it. On the surface she seems like a normal doll, but when you pump her arm up and down she changes facial expressions. Here are some of my favorites.

One night in college I had a party at my apartment. The next morning (after drinking a bit the night before), I found my precious doll sitting at the end of my bed with this expression and holding one of my kitchen knives...

I can't imagine why anyone would have a problem with that.

She lives in our guest room now. But now, no one but my parents will go in that room....

That is freaky! I've never heard of or seen a doll like that. I'm kind of glad I've never seen a doll like that.

Thanks to everyone who has voted for my doll in Jenny's contest. Thanks to you, I now know that she is called "Saucy" and was made by Mattel circa 1972. Alas, my search for her identity has ended.

Oh, seriously, I should've known. This? Is very scary. In an awesome-freaky-scare-the-crap out of me way.

Never ever get rid of that. Ever.

That is really, really, really scary. I don't think I'd ever go in your guest room either. Yikes!!

Did she eat Raggedy Ann when she stole the dress from her?

I'm guessing you don't have too many overnight guests!! Glad to know she's still around. She was always the life of the party!

The kitty doesn't seem to mind her much. AJ always wants to move her arms to have her make faces at him. I'll have to find the party pic and post it.
