Totally off the subject

I had a blast on Saturday at MamaDramaConQueso, and met some really great people (hi Margaret, Catazon, Heather, Min, and Jenny!) Since Margaret is getting married soon, the conversation moved to wedding dresses. After describing my dress, I was ordered to post some pictures of it. I couldn't find the pictures that were taken inside the Wortham Center foyer, but here are a few others that kind of show just how long and heavy this dress really was.....

(Note: Here is me doing my very best "Princess Di" walk...)

(A view from the side...)

(This shot was mainly about the flowers, but you can sort of see some of the beading detail around the neckline and sleeves...)

P.S. Tee hee...I still managed to pull this assignment off without actually having to post a picture of myself....

I wore a heavy crocheted afghan tied around my waist during the rehearsal so I could practice carrying the extra weight.

Ya'll think the dress was very "Princess Di" ya'll should have heard her entry music. You would have thought the queen was about to grace us with a visit. :D

You just say that because it was a long timpani solo followed by a trumpet fanfare! And don't act like you didn't help pick out the music.
