A giant leap for Toddlerkind
AJ has woken up dry every morning this week. He hasn't had any accidents at school all week. So we decided this morning that maybe it's time for the Pull-Ups to go away. Yeah, I know I may be washing sheets pretty often, but I'm ready to give it a shot. Two evenings in a row now, AJ has told me that he needs to poop BEFORE he actually does it. And we've made it to the bathroom in time to actually poop in the toilet. Yippeee! He's getting to be such a big boy. I'm proud of him, Daddy is proud of him, and AJ is proud of himself. When he gets praised, his little face just lights up.

That is AWESOME! Whatever you're doing, bottle it.
If only our toilet training for my second daughter had stuck. No she decided she was "too busy" to continue using the potty. UGH. The first one was so easy.
So that you have had this success is sweet indeed! Way to go!
(Found you on the mamadramaconqueso list.)
Oh, he definitely gets too busy. He doesn't usually tell me when he needs to go. I think it is more likely that I have been trained -- not AJ. I have been trained to notice when he starts grabbing at himself or gets really quiet off to himself, and to ask him every hour and a half to two hours if he needs to go. It's ALL been about the bribery of the Potty Prize Pack. He'll go try just so he can possibly get a prize.
